Last Summer, my family and I spent about 5 days in California – not only did we attend a graduation of a family member, we also took the kiddos to SeaWorld, and spent one day at Disney (just 1 day!)
Our admission to SeaWorld was FREE courtesy of a program titled “Waves of Honor” – which allows any Active Duty, Activated or Drilling Reservist, or Guardsman, to a FREE one time admission to SeaWorld, Busch Gardens, Adventure Island, Water Country USA, or Sesame Place – Monday through Friday only.
The free admission applies to the Service member and as many as 3 direct dependents.
To score, Dave was required to register HERE; my youngest was FREE (no ticket required) and my other 2 (at the time, 3 and 6) were FREE as were myself -over $80 value per ticket. We opted to visit the park on a Monday, though I will say that the crowd was no less :)
You can score only one complimentary admission to ONE park per year – to register you will need to have your military ID – children 10 years and under were not required to show their ID, and although I should have had mine, I could not find it (but they never asked for mine!)
Once you register, you’ll print the paper voucher and take to the admission booth at SeaWorld prior to entrance. You can read more HERE.

Just curious, they’ve never asked my spouse or kids for ID either. Have you ever heard of anyone being turned away because the spouse or one of the kids forgot their ID?

Nope – I actually forgot mine last time we went. And they said they did not need ID for the kids (although I think he took his DD 93 with him — if I recall?), so maybe she was just lax? But I had no issues getting in. We went mid-week if I recall.
