If you know someone who is a college grad and looking to get into the field of teaching, Teach for America is accepting applicants for the next term until March 4th.
The organization is actively seeking to recruit more college graduates to serve as teachers and leaders in low-income communities across the nation beginning with a two-year commitment to teach in high-need schools. Teach for America is still accepting applications for the next term until March 4.
As a Corps member, you will be a FULL time, salaried employee of your school district, charter school or other employer. Your salary and benefits will be the same as the other beginning teachers working for the same employer.
Salaries range from $24,000 to $55,000 depending on where you teach – with your first paycheck coming between late August and late September. Your Corps membership also makes you eligible for programs that can help cut your costs (AmeriCorps Education Award, Grants and even Fellowships).
To be eligible for the organization, you must have your Bachelors degree from an accredited College or University by the first day your summer training begins (usually around June 21st).
