Many of you have kiddos that may be graduating this year… or, perhaps next year. In which case you are looking for the best deals to help you save money on their graduation photos.
Photos can be very expensive… I know I don’t like to pay a ton of money and I’m sure you Freapers don’t either!
Here are some tips from a local Arizona reader who has a graduation Senior this year – and what she did to keep costs down.
“To keep costs down, my husband and I took his senior pictures ourselves – several years ago, we invested in a really nice digital camera. We took a beautiful Saturday to head over to our local community park and shot some great photos of Brennan – you would never know we took them ourselves!”
She then used those photos to take advantage of the “See Here” photo deal I posted HERE –
“I then ordered graduation announcements from See Here when you posted the photo deal. I got 25 announcements for just $2.49 shipped. My mother-in-law then ordered another 25 for us, for a total of 50, for just under $5.00.”
Mom and Dad then took advantage of the 20 FREE 4×6 Target prints this week to score 20 more prints for Brennan to hand out to family & friends.
“It was easy – I just went to the store with my Target coupon and took care of my prints – that’s 20 MORE prints he can hand out to friends.”
Lastly….. and for their living room wall, they splurged and spent $30.00 on an 11×14 canvas from “The Canvas People” that I posted earlier this month HERE.
“We really wanted a nice canvas for the wall, and that was a smokin’ deal….since we saved so much doing the pictures ourselves, I figured that we could swing a canvas – an 11×14 is something I have always wanted and I’m super happy with the results.”
That’s an amazing deal folks! I know that this may not be for everyone, but I have always been a big fan of taking my own photos. Between my two kids, I have done 90% of their photos and saved myself a bundle – believe it or not, I find it easier to toss them down in the grass at the park in a pretty outfit and go wild with the camera. Ha!
Thanks Jen for sharing these tips with us!

I would definitely go the DIY route when the time arrives. It broke my heart to see how much a coworker spent on her son’s announcements, yikes!

Pretty soon custom photographers are going to go out of business. Guess I should have put my degree into another field.
