Some of you may have some serious projects in store for Valentine’s day. I haven’t thought about anything like that just yet……but we have a reader who has!
This reader (who shall remain Anonymous!) took some pictures of her Valentine’s project today – it’s a little somethin somethin he has been working on her for her hubby……
She says:
So these four pics are…a empty Ragu container, a bag of Sweethearts i got at Wags on sale this wk for $0.79 with in-ad coupon, me showing that i put a small layer of the Sweetheart on the bottom of the jar and 4 the little notes I wrote (30 of them) to put in the jar (just notes that will brighten my hubby’s day) things from “I love you”, to “You are my soul mate” to “You are the best kisser” :)
She also did a second project –
Am also making him a coupon book….I even cut barcodes from unused coupons to make it funnier. On the back of the book i will put cardstock over the barcode and personalize it to say something like made with love for my one true valentine. Will also write on the front of the book putting coupon love book :)
I make coupons from good for one back massage to breakfast in bed to some very personal ones.. we have been together a LONG long time so this helps to spice things up.
Some adorable ideas! I love the coupon book, that’s one sure fire way to get him (or her) into coupons….. :D
If you have any crafty ideas, you can share with all of us, we’d love to see!
Thank you for sharing, lady!

A couple years back I gave my husband a book I made from a blank-covered photo book that has those scrapbook pages with the plastic that you can peel back from the sticky pages. I put a title on the cover: “I love you because…” Then I left him little strips of paper (printed from my computer and glued to a colorful scrapbook paper) in places where he would find them all over the house. Each strip said “I love you because…” and had a reason on the back (“you beamed every time you saw my pregnant belly” or “you tolerate me when I’m cranky”…etc.). I made a list of 400+ “reasons” from silly to serious to intimate and I still leave them around the house from time to time for him to add to his book. We’ve been together 15 years so it’s been a fun way for me to reflect on all the reasons I love him so much, and for him to be reminded how many things I appreciate and still notice about him. I highly recommend something like this if you want a gift that will keep on giving (to both of you!) for years to come! =o)
