Patriotic Brownie Sundae
This patriotic brownie sundae is super easy to throw together… and incredibly rich, addictive and perfect for anyone that’s looking to satisfy their sweet tooth.
Start with a box of brownie mix made according to the box directions. One of my favorite brownie mixes to use is Duncan Hines suitable for a 13×9 – I usually lean towards the “fudge” brownie mix. Avoid over-cooking the brownies as they will tend to become dry. Instead, undertake by just a few minutes, and then remove from the oven and allow them to sit and cool. After the brownies are removed from the oven, they will continue to bake just enough to set the brownies.
Use a round cookie cutter to cut a circle-shaped brownie before you top with your favorite ice cream, whipped topping and additional sauce.
I would highly suggest fudge drizzled over the top (why not??!) or a really rich caramel.
Go a step further and decorate with additional red, white and blue sprinkles.
Making ahead of time?
You can definitely make a patriotic brownie sundae ahead of time. Simply cut the brownies and and reheat slightly before topping with ice cream and whipped topping before serving.
