Those of you who have friends, or you yourself are stationed overseas, this is a very generous offer.
For those of you who have family Stationed overseas, you can call them WITHOUT a PC – using the OBi110: it allows you to use Google Voice on a phone connected to the OBi device — No PC required. You simply need the device, a Google name & password & a regular telephone.
Obihai have a limited number of manufacturer-certified, reconditioned OBi110 units which they can provide free of charge, to members of the United States Armed Forces (Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force & Coast Guard).
The only requirement is the member of the military must be stationed outside the USA (50-states) and provide their APO or FPO mailing address to Obihai.
1. First and Last Name
. Branch of Military
3. (dot)mil Email Address – For example: john.smith @us.army.mil – This is the email address we will use to confirm/track the shipment.
4. APO or FPO Address – This is the mailing address where we will send the shipment. – Do Not Use an International Address
This offer extends until the supply is exhausted, at which time they will post HERE.
Last year, Google provided military FREE calling; with the OBi device, you are using a regular telephone in lieu of a computer – so free calling worked well.
I’m not sure if they are offering free calling in 2012… so at worst, if they are not, you are paying only $0.01/minute, which is a great offer.
