I’m not sure how many of you are familiar with Jon Acuff – I follow him on Twitter, as I do Dave Ramsey, and was enthralled this morning when he announced that every order of his book would get a free t-shirt.. “Quitter”.
So I ordered. I ordered two of his books – then the Dave Ramsey store said “Order $20 & get free ship” – oh well perfect! So I ordered two of his books just to get free shipping :D I know they will be well used.
Jon Acuff is the author of best selling “Quitter” – it’s an overall inspiring book that’s full of advice.. and stories from Jon personally, as he endured 12 years of working in an office.. it’s based on his story of turning a “dream” job into a reality. I used to work in an office. It was much like the movie Office Space. Draining. Completely Draining.
I have heard it’s absolutely hilarious, entertaining…….. financially inspiring, and quite practical – though I had yet to buy it. I know Dave Ramsey has talked about it on his show.. I have always wanted to buy it but today just seemed like the opportune time.
Who is this book for? Well, it seems to be geared towards those of you who would love to make the cold break into doing something you love instead of something that just pays… and is great for those of you who can’t do that without some type of encouragement, enthusiasm, and wit…
So in just a few days, when it comes in the mail, I’ll let you know – shouldn’t take me too long to read it – you’ll probably see an absence of me at night on Facebook until I accomplish just that. At that point – well, comes the book review :)
Besides, I’m just one of those rare folks who would love to wear the shirt, just so I could wait for the opportune person to ask me why I have a shirt on that says “Quitter”.
Jon Acuff is great! We have this book– gotta read it still. His book Stuff Christians Like is so funny! :)
