Since you all are collecting boxes and boxes of Snuggle and All Dryer Sheets at Dollar General, I thought this would be a great tip for you – cheap dryer sheets can be used to solve many of life’s dilemmas.
I thought I’d share this quick tip with those of you reading today – I made chicken the other night with our new Kraft Fresh Take….
I failed to grease the pan, the Fresh Take melted and the pan is destroyed – all because I ran to Safeway while it was in the oven and totally forgot that I was making dinner – imagine that!
In any case, I have the choice to clean it, or toss it – and because I have no other pan, the first option shall be my selection. So I will be spending my Saturday night scrubbing a pan… after David was so eager anticipating throwing it out (“Just toss it, who cares” is what he said to me. “You need to start paying attention, I told you.”)
Do you actually think I’m going to scrub a pan? Definitely not- and am I going to tell him my plan to fix it? Definitely not.
To remove burnt food from pots and pans: lay a fabric softener sheet in bottom of pan and add very hot water; soak several hours or overnight, then scrub…everything comes off.
In addition to using dryer sheets in your clothes dryer, I’ll share with you my 5 FAVORITE ways to use those smell good sheets – keep in mind that I won’t use them on my clothes:
- Chase ants away when you lay a sheet near them. (works for mice too)
- Dissolve soap scum from shower doors. Clean with a dryer sheet.
- Put a dryer sheet in vacuum cleaner.
- Freshen the air in your car – Place a dryer sheet ounce under the front seat.
- Wet a dryer sheet, hose down your car, and wipe lovebugs off easily … (Lovebugs…what a cute term for those little suckers!)

An apartment manager once told me this trick: put a used dryer sheet in the air vent to freshen stale air. Since the former tennant had been a smoker I tried this.. and it worked like a dream! No more stale smoke smell when we turned on the AC!

I do that at home too!

I read somewhere that if you wipe down your baseboards with dryer sheets, it’ll help repel dirt. Definately going to test that one!!!!

My mom has soap scum on her glass shower door, do you wet the dryer sheet and wipe it down or just wipe it down dry?
