Several of you have been looking for printer recommendations – I highly recommend moving away from an inkjet and going to a laser. I know it is a spendy purchase – but those of you who coupon & print coupons out may need to think forward in terms of ink in your savings calculations.
I made the transition last month and spent $130 on a laser printer that retails for $600 – it was the best move I have ever made. I used to spend $35 for an XL cartridge and it printed horribly…. it never printed watermarks on my coupons, and I was always scared that the cashier would give me grief over a poorly printed barcode.
The printer I got last month is available again: PC Rush has the Laser Printer by Cannon for $599 (reg. $599.99).. add to your cart & watch it drop to $199. Use PRINTERDEAL on the checkout page to get it for $130. Shipping is free. This printer is also networkable over an Ethernet so you can print from multiple computers.
The toner yields 6400 pages. Refills run just under $60. Huge savings in terms of printing – I would highly consider using your recent savings on grocery trips to invest in a great laser printer. It was easy to set up – I just asked hubby to do it :D
I purchased mine on a Tuesday afternoon; it came on Thursday morning – WITH ink……. and a month later, it’s still going.

Sheryl, do stores not give you a hard time about having black and white printed coupons?

Never had issues; I have never in 8 years printed in color. You are not required to print in color.

I am thinking about buying this one. Do you know if the toner that came with it yields 6,400 or is it the cheaper cartridge that yields 2,100 pages? I see on the webpage that the 2,100 pg toner is $87 and the 6,400 pg toner is $163. Is there a code to get those cheaper also? Thanks or your help and the great deal!

Not sure, though I have had my toner 1 month now and it is still Good…. I can’t tell you exactly. All I know is that i love this printer. I know the Toner is pricey but there are aftermarket toners you can grab for cheap(er) than the ones you put. This is normally an office printer, in a business……. so it’s a high quality printer.
