Those of you who choose to immunize your children may like to reference this as a local resource. Not all parents opt to immunize – but if you do choose to do so, this can be a great resource.
If you are in the Phoenix Metro area, and you qualify for the terms listed on their site linked below, your children can get FREE immunizations through a local program called “Baby Shots”.
The Baby Shots program has a history that goes back to 1994, when the Phoenix Fire Department members discovered that the percentage of children appropriately immunized in Arizona was extremely low. Having always been proactive in meeting the needs of the community, a free childhood immunization program was developed and implemented.
Go HERE to see more about Baby Shots – and see their current 2014 Baby Shots Brochure, which includes dates & locations of the immunization clinics… there is one approaching for 10/21.
Here are some of the advantages of Baby Shots:
- Most times, you won’t have to wait long in line.
- No appointment required.
- No co-pay is required.
- Convenient times & locations.
The PFD Baby Shots Immunization Program provides free vaccinations to children who are eligible under the Vaccine for Children’s Program (VFC).

If your child is in school, how do you get around getting them shots?

Arizona does not require immunization. The state has an exemption form… it’s very easy :) I fill it out each year.
