If you, or someone you know is military and you reside in Arizona, there is a great resource titled “Military Assistance Mission” that serves emergency needs on a one time basis.
The Military Assistance Mission provides financial aid and morale aid to current Arizona Active Duty Military, their Families and Wounded Warriors regardless of overseas deployment status.
MAM will provide a one-time assistance with Emergency Needs for Rent, Mortgage, Utilities, Vehicle Payment, Vehicle Inusrance and or Food, through grants.
Grants will be based on your current status (CONUS or OCONUS) – and Service Members must be either Active Duty (E6 or below) or National Guard. They will assist Reservists if they have been activated to deploy within 90 days of receiving orders.
Head over HERE to apply for assistance – financial assistance is provided on a one-time basis. Upon applying, you will need to provide the following:
- Active Duty/Reservist: Copy of your LES, Military ID and Current Orders
- Wounded Warriors: DD214, Purple Heart Certificate and the 1-page VA rating.
You can see more on their site about the offer – if you don’t qualify, you can take advantage of Arizona tax credits when you give up to $200 as an individual or, $400 as a couple.
