Hi, I wanted to comment about Melatonin. My doctor suggested it to help me sleep…but I was always ‘groggy’ when I woke up. She said not to take it at bedtime, but rather at about the same time the sun sets in the evening because that’s when the body produces natural melatonin. It did help to regulate my sleep so I would be rested but alert in the morning.
That is such a good point; I used to take it too, when I got back from Kuwait after being Active Duty. I had the same problem as well………. and my doc suggested taking it a few hours before I actually went to sleep so that I didnt struggle getting up for duty the next day – very very good point!
