Make your own Peanut Butter Banana Dog Treats with just three simple ingredients and a splash of water — perfect for your dog!
Chances are, if you have a dog, you have thought about making your very own dog treats. DIY dog treats are so stinkin’ easy to make at home with just three simple ingredients..
Oh! And a splash of water, too!
So don’t toss that over-ripe banana! And stock up on peanut butter. Because once you make these dog treats you will wonder why you didn’t make them earlier!
Before you get started on these cookies, you’ll want to grab a dog-bone shaped cookie cutter. I love this one and it worked well for this recipe (not to mention, I got it at Walmart!).
Pull out your food processor – it’s the easiest way to throw these treats together in a hurry.
Peanut Butter Banana Dog Treats
Making these dog treats is super easy – so grab your ingredients and get started!
First, add peanut butter and banana to the food processor and blend until fully combined. Then, add most of the flour to the mix.
(You’ll want to save a few tablespoons to use for dusting the roller.) Give it a good mix. Then add in water to moisten a little more.
Dump the mixture onto a floured area. The mixture should look and feel like wet sand. Now, press the mixture into a ball. Dust the rolling pin with flour and roll out 1/4 – 1/2 inch thick.
Use the cookie cutter to cut out the cookies. You will have to roll the cut-off pieces out a few times until it is all used up.
Place the cookies on the baking sheet. (I used a silicone mat on mine, I thought it was so much easier!)
Then, bake in a preheated oven at 300 degrees for 20 – 25 minutes. When the treats are done, the bottoms will be lightly golden and the cookies should be hard.
Allow to fully cool before serving.
