Skip the line and expense at Taco Bell and make your own Taco Bell Crunchwrap Supreme at home with our simple Copycat Tacobell Crunchwrap Supreme recipe!
There’s something about my neighborhood Taco Bell that makes me go “hmm….” – quite often. It’s located in a shopping center with an Albertsons and a McDonalds – and while McDonalds is usually fairly busy, it’s Taco Bell that takes the award.
The line for the Taco Bell drive through is typically wrapped around the fast food building, up the next parking aisle and down next, blocking the entrance to the shopping center. You’d think that it would be busy at meal time and fairly easy to sneak into any other time of the day…
But no… this is all day – early in the morning. Late at night. It’s just a popular place to buy food.
I’ll admit, I love tacos too… and that Crunchwrap supreme – whoa! Hold the chariots! I crave them, as do my kids. Buying six of the Crunchwrap supreme is just not in the budget though!

These Taco Bell Crunchwrap Supreme are simple to make. Start with seasoned ground beef, nacho cheese sauce, and a tostada, topped with the fixin’s – lettuce, tomatoes and sour cream. Once you’ve built your Crunchwrap, toss it in a skillet with a smidge of olive oil.
Fry the Crunchwrap, folded side down, for a minute or two (until browned), then gently flip. Carefully fry the other side just until browned. Make it a meal and served it up next to these delicious refried beans.
Cost savings
I was able to whip up 8 Crunchwrap supreme using the ingredients below, for a cost of $2.06 per wrap. Your cost could definitely be less if you opt to use non-organic ingredients. That’s almost a 50% cost savings compared to the Taco Bell cost of $3.79 each.

Copycat Taco Bell Crunchwrap Supreme
Ingredients
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 Taco Bell Original Taco Seasoning Mix
- 8 large flour tortillas 9 inch, burrito size
- 15 oz nacho cheese sauce
- 1 pkg corn tostadas
- 1 C lettuce shredded
- 2 roma tomatoes diced
- 8 oz sour cream
- 8 tsp olive oil
Instructions
- In a medium sized skillet pan, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat. Add the packet of Taco Bell Original Seasoning Mix, ⅔ cup water, and simmer for 5 minutes, or until most of the water is absorbed.
- Place one flour tortilla on a plate. Add approximately ⅓-½ cup of ground beef to the center of the tortilla. Top with 2-3 spoonfuls of nacho cheese sauce. Place one corn tostada on top of the nacho cheese sauce, then top with a handful of lettuce, and 2 spoonfuls of tomatoes. Add 2 spoonfuls of sour cream on top of the lettuce and tomatoes, dotting it around the corn tostada.
- Fold one side of the flour tortilla over the top of the sour cream mixture, and continue folding all the way around the tortilla making pleats in the tortilla, until all sides are folded in, and the inside mixture is covered.
- Heat approximately 1 tsp of olive oil in a large skillet pan on medium heat. Once the pan is hot, place the Crunchwrap Supreme, folded side down, in the skillet. Cook for 3-4 minutes, or until the tortilla is lightly browned. Flip, and continue to cook again for 3-4 minutes, or until lightly browned. Repeat steps 2-4 for each additional Crunchwrap Supreme.
