Glow Stick Valentine Cards with FREE Printable

These glow stick Valentine cards are an easy, creative alternative to candy this Valentine’s Day and will be loved by kids of all ages!

Who doesn’t love Valentine’s Day? I think we can all agree that it is somewhat of a commercialized holiday.   After all, it’s meant to rake in some serious dollars. I’m almost certain most of us would agree that we don’t necessarily need a day to be told that we should appreciate our loved ones. Right?

I agree. 😘

However the holiday still continues and many of the kids will be celebrating the festivities in school with a Valentine’s party.  It’s likely that they will exchange lovely greetings.

You can definitely jump in the car and drive to the store to buy any of the myriad of Valentines they have on store shelves.   Though i’ll say that most other kids will have the same as your child…   

Or you can be crafty and make your own – quite easily too. You don’t have to be an amazing crafter to make your own Valentines cards.   All you have to do is be able to put a few pieces of cardstock in a color printer, push print, and hole punch those same papers. Grab a pack of glow sticks and let your kids do the rest.

So much fun!

Glow sticks are well loved by kids everywhere – thankfully you can pick them up in a rather inexpensively in bulk. Kids will love receiving glow sticks at their class party in lieu of candy.  At least I would have loved the option of a glow stick if i was a kid!

“You Make My Heart Glow” Glow Stick Valentine Cards

Materials:

• Glow sticks (affiliate) – 100 ct, 8 inch
• Hole punch
• Scissors
• “You Make My Heart Glow” printable Valentine Cards
• Cardstock (affiliate)

Instructions:

Begin by taking out all of the glow sticks and pushing on the plastic connector pieces onto one end.

Cut out the Valentines from the “You Make My Heart Glow” printable.

Punch one hole on each end of each Valentine horizontally.

Slide one glow stick through the holes created on each Valentine. The glow stick will thread in behind the cardstock so that the Valentine is fully visible. You can view the photo for a better idea of how to do this.

*If you wish to write on the Valentine, try to do so before you thread the glow stick through the holes.
