A seed library is a collection of donated (vegetable, fruit & flower) that are available to patrons, or cardholders of the local public library. A seed library is a wonderful resource if you are looking to plant an urban garden.
Here in Phoenix, there are two growing seasons (mid-February until the end of May and mid-September to mid-November). We just finished planting quite a bit in our backyard a few weeks ago and are growing so many things this year.
So much fun!
Although it does get really hot here, many plants do incredibly well – cucumbers, squash, watermelon, honeydew, and even strawberries. I know my plants are thriving right now and I’m excited to put in the last of them here over the weekend.
