Chances are… some of you are in the same predicament as I am. You have older children in school (and by older I mean ages 5+…) but you have SMALLER kids at home.
My kids are 9, 5, 3 and 2.. and my two smallest littles have a hard time accepting the fact that their older brother and sister have to go somewhere each day for 6-7 hours… without them. The first hour of every day they cry, until they eventually get over their frustration and deal with the sadness that entails being on their own with each other.
It’s painful.
It really is. I feel so bad for them, but the day has to go on. We can’t sit and sob about it for yours because then we don’t get anything accomplished other than a teary red face.
But thankfully I have the POGO Pass… because I have been keeping them busy with things like Pump it Up, and the i.d.e.a. Museum, mixed in with the Superstition Kids Club on Thursdays, and the Theater on Tuesdays for cheap popcorn/soda at the Theater on Signal Butte & Baseline. Ahh ;) It’s always my mission to keep them happy.
If you are in the Phoenix area, one of the BEST ways to save money on venues around town is the POGO Pass ~ for just $39.95 with code CENTSABLE, you’ll score FREE Admission to 17 venues.. some with MULTIPLE visits.
If you DO have a POGO Pass here are FIVE places you can take those younger kiddos to keep them busy when the older kids are in school:
Enchanted Island Amusement Park
If you have kids ages 1-10, Enchanted Island is PERFECT for them! They have boats, arcade games, and more.. your kids can take a trip on the train, head to the splash zone, red baron or bumper boats. It’s perfect for little kids too, as they have a carousel. You can visit 4 times per POGO Pass per year, too!
Makutu’s Island
This place is TERRIFIC for small kids! Grab the kiddos & head over during the day… you’ll get them out of the house & they’ll get SO tired they may even take a nap on the way home (or, all afternoon!)
With your POGO you will ONLY get admission Monday – Friday. Make sure you take SOCKS.
Pump It Up
Kids ages 2 and Up can score 2 FREE Admissions to Pump it Up with your POGO Pass, over the course of the 12 month period. My kids LOVE it there.. they switch up the kids every hour so they get a different experience. During the mornings they are fairly quiet… they get busier as the day goes on. Check their site to ensure you are visiting them during the designated hours.
i.d.e.a. Museum
Do your kids LOVE to be hands on? The Museum is great for small kids… and you can visit 2 times for each POGO pass. Make sure your kids wear socks, they are required in the Artville Play Area.
Phoenix Zoo
Think you need to be a kid to go to the Zoo? WRONG! Your POGO pass scores you 2 FREE Admissions to the Phoenix Zoo ~ I can’t think of a better way to spend a day with the kids!
You MIGHT want to wait until it cools down a LITTLE before heading over there for the day. Bring your little ones suits too.. they have a Splash Pad that is fun for kids.
Don’t have a POGO Pass? You can pick up 60% OFF the cost of a pass with code CENTSABLE and take part in these venues with your partner – one POGO pass is valid for a 12 month period.
Buy or RENEW a POGO pass this month of September and be automatically entered to win an AMAZING birthday party from one of the incredible sponsors above!
The POGO Pass will score you FREE Admission to 17 venues some with multiple visits for a period of ONE year from the date of purchase.
