I just got an email from Ashley and boy is this a great deal if you need Paper Towels!
I just wanted to let you know that Staples has the 8 packs of Bounty Basic paper towels for $3.99 with Staples rewards card, however, they also have a coupon online for 20% off. The regular price is $4.99 so it gave me $1.00 AND if you use one of your Bounty coupons, even for $0.25 that makes them $2.74 for 8 rolls or $0.34 each. I didn’t see it on the blog but my store has a whole wall of them.
WOWsers – so folks, head into Staples – the Bounty will be $3.99 (8 pk) with Staples Rewards Card. Grab the ad for this week – the 20% off is on the LAST page.
8 Pk Bounty Basic $3.99 with Rewards Card
Less $1.00 (20% off $4.99) – last page of ad
Less $0.25/1 Bounty 08/30 PG (exp 09/31)
= $2.74 for 8, or $0.34 ea.
Totally a stock up price and I know y’all need paper towels!
Thanks Ashley!

Hells Yeah! I just got my reward coupon in my email this morning, too! Perfect timing!
Mercedes says
Aww, dangit! I just bought 4 8-packs of Bounty Basic from there yesterday for $4.99 each ($4.74 with coupons). I could have gotten a much better deal. Oh well. I’m sure this happens to all of us sometimes.
Meryl says
take in your receipt and the coupon- they should honor it and adjust your price and give you a refund or store credit. I do it all the time at Target [usually just give me cash back for coups] and many stores do that within two weeks of purchase- if the price drops.
Mercedes says
Thanks, Meryl — That’s a really smart idea. I’d totally do it, except the closest Staples is about 40 minutes away, so it’s not really worth the drive unless I’m already going down there for something (like I was yesterday). Bummer! At least I spent my Staples Rewards before they expired though – Heh.

might try it next time you’re in town- if you’re going there anyway? I was amazed what stores would do just because I asked! If it seems reasonable and all dates add up- can’t hurt to try! I try to apply this strategy now to everything- and it has really been eye opening!! Just a thought…..
Rebecca in CG says
Do they have the ads in the store with the 20 percent off coupon?
Steph C says
that’s weird… my ad doesn’t have that last page??
monica says
I just went to Staples.. None of there ads have the coupon.. the lady said it was on the add they mail to you home :(
Nivethetha says
mine said 6.99 reg retail, and 4.99 sale price and no 20% coupon in my ad (mailed to my home), I live in southern california region. May be its regional.
Nivethetha says
now only I checked the ad with the one in online, the last page of the ad is missing in my ad when compared to online, just a single sheet, how could it be possible? every others are double pages. pls let me know if any one did this successfully? even if get that coupon I cudnt get it for 2.74, because my store sells it for 4.99.
Shannon says
Look at the store ad on Staples.com & click on the 20% coupon. Then, click print.
I did this & they took the coupon with no problem.
However, the paper towels rang up at $4.99, not $3.99. I had a $1.00 off coupon that I got from a sample I requested online (no clue what the sample was).
