I have never shopped at Staples for Easy Rebate before.
So when you purchase an item with the Easy Rebate, they will send you the check to cash out or their store credit?
You have to submit for the rebate online at Staples.com. You will be sent a check to cash or you can deposit in a Paypal account. Usually takes 4-6 weeks, sometimes quicker. Easy Rebates are not store credit.
