Tell them to cancel your subscription for 30 days :) and they can just lose out on your money for a month!
NEW subscriber in the past 30 days, it does not matter if you are a current subscriber unless you started getting them less than 30 days ago.
Ug, now I see where you are seeing that. It is different on the page than it is on this post. I tried it and I am a subscriber. We’ll see what happens.

I tried calling them and adding this on to my current account (not a new one) the man was rude, although I was very friendly. I had to order the additional paper for the $1 a week through their site. I HOPE it works!!!! Here’s to hoping I get one more Sunday paper for a buck, instead of driving up to the dollar store….. LOL! Thank you!!!
I have a question. Someone told me that there are coupons in the Wednesday paper as well as Sunday. Is this true?
I ordered two, with two different credit cards. I hope that works out! ……
Svea – I have not seen coupon inserts in my Wed. phx home delivery during my 3-4 months subscrption. Not saying that it never occurs, I don’t know yet…. just haven’t seen it. They main thing I like about my Wed paper is that Albertson’s puts in a coupon for $10 off $100 and the Safeway coupons, that I only use at my local Fry’s since they have such a great coupon policy! ;)
My Sunday papers DO have coupon inserts, some times 1 to 4+ depending. But, the Sunday before a holiday it seems that there are 0 to maybeeeee 1 insert.
The good thing with home delivery, I feel, is that I don’t miss out on the coupons that some of the store papers don’t include.

FYI… I called yesterday to cancel my subscription… and they offered the $1 deal off the bat.. so you may want to try hitting the “cancel” prompt instead of the subscription prompt when you call. They asked why I was cancelling and I said money is tight, and I can get the paper just when I need it :)
