Operation Homefront has created the Homes on the Homefront program through a partnership with Chase Bank, Wells Fargo, Bank of America and Meritage Homes….to make available homes for Military Families, Wounded Warriors or Vets.
This year, we anticipate awarding 100 homes to deserving military families around the country through amazing partners like Chase, Wells Fargo, Bank of America and Meritage Homes.
Eligibility requirements are stated below – deployment, branch are irrelevant. Applying does not guarantee you are accepted, but if you are in touch with any military, or are military yourself this is a great opportunity to pass along to them.
- The individual is a SM or veteran (any branch) or surviving spouse of a SM,
- Does not currently own a home
- Have a connection to the local area in some way, shape, or form;
- Be able to live in the property for a 2 year period as a primary residence (i.e. Active duty would not work, as they may PCS) whereas National Guard would be more appropriate since they would not be PCS’d out of state).
- Be able to maintain the costs of the home (property taxes, HoA fees, utilities, etc)
- Not have a felony conviction
To be considered, you would need to open a case on the Homes on the Homefront website… and you can read more.
