Although we LOVE the 99 cent Only Store there are a few things that you should NEVER ever buy there. What would you not buy there? Here is our short list….
#1 – Non-Brand Vitamins
Call me fussy…. but it has to be a brand I know for it to be a deal and to even consider buying it. I will not buy non- brand vitamins there EVER.
#2 – Non-Brand Medicine
If I don’t know the name of it and don’t recognize it there is no way I’ll buy any medicine there. I will, however, buy Gas-X, and Rolaids –these are brands I like and trust and would buy at CVS so finding them there is a huge plus.
#3 – Anything Expired
Although I hardly ever find any expired goods, if I did I would not buy it. Just because they are brought in from other places and you do not know how long they’ve been on the road or without refrigeration.
#4 – Composition books/Notebooks/Filler Paper
Although this is a hot place for buying school supplies, the notebooks and composition books are a better value during the sales at Walmart or Target when it’s back to school.
#5 -Feminine Care Products
Unless it’s a name brand and full size. But I won’t pay $1 for lets say 5 pads or I also won’t buy panty liners there since we can get them for under a $1 when on sale and with a coupon.
#6 – Non-Brand Razors
Love your skin, just don’t do it. They are brutal, the husband tried them and so did I and it’s something we just won’t buy again.
#7 – Soda
I can get this cheaper and name brand at the store on sale.
#8 -Non Brand Garbage Bags
I bought Glad there once and they were perfect. The other ones they carry are low on count and do not hold up. Don’t waste your money unless its an emergency.
