Have you ever been out of town and dreaded coming home? In one aspect you may dread coming home because you know you will be missing the family you left at the place you were visiting…
But if you are like me you may dread coming home because everything you have to DO hits you like a brick wall. And let me say there is nothing worse than coming home and having to do ALL kinds of things… right?
I had a good friend who headed up north a week ago, and she came back this week ~ she was excited to come back to her house to see her husband and kids, but then reality hit.
Laundry
Razor Blade in her Tire ….
A Dish Full of Dishes
Laundry piled up
And suddenly the to-do list was SO long…
So what DO you do before ou leave to make that arrival back home more manageable? Here are TEN things that we thought were detrimental to ensuring that you can stress LESS when you return from that fun out of town trip…
10 Ways to Better Prepare for your Vacation Return
1. Wash and change bedding before you leave.
2. Get rid of any food leftovers in the fridge on the last garbage day before you leave. Stock up essentials that won’t go bad before you get home.
3. Pack what you can in days leading up to leaving so your not panicking at the last minute.
4. Run dishwasher before you leave so you don’t have any science experiments growing while you’re gone.
9. Have someone stack up your newspapers for you (our neighbor did this and I didn’t even ask him!)
10. Make sure you have wine available for when you get home.
Is there anything YOU try to do before you leave out of town?
